Originating with the people of the Zia Pueblo in ancient times, the Zia symbol is a powerful talisman, symbolizing the basic harmony of all things in the universe. Representing the four seasons of the year, the four directions, the four stages of life, and the four sacred obligations the sun symbol is easily the most recognizable of emblems and is cherished in the state of New Mexico. Lovingly designed by David Griego, each piece in the Zia series is handcrafted right here in our Santa Fe Goldworks studio and engraved with David’s initials, along with the words Santa Fe, to endure authenticity.
